Hitting the 30 week mark this week and I'm in shock as to how fast its flying by. I either blacked out when I was pregnant with Lola or I am definitely struggling a little more with the body changes this time around. With Lola I gained close to 35 lbs. I got minimal stretch marks on one side of my lower belly, upper thighs, and a couple stragglers on my love handles. Just enough to make me self conscience in my bathing suit. I've come to the conclusion that any changes to a women's body can make her self conscience, it doesnt have to be the worst case for your feelings to be valid. With baby # 2 I've been using Mustela (stretch marks double action). My Sil recommended it and she carried twins with no stretchmarks so in my eyes she is an expert;).
New pregnancy symptoms have consisted of waking up to strip my clothes off, go potty, and refill my ice water. Usually followed by an hour or two of 20/20 or dateline until I can fall back asleep.
As I am now officially counting down instead of counting my weeks in pregnancy, I am getting excited to bring another baby girl into the crazy Gonzalez house. I know Lola will be the best big sister. She can be a sour patch kid at times but she is the sweetest little cuddle bug. She's been putting diapers on her stuffed animals and patting their backs, "shh, shh shh". As for Mark I swear that man was born to be a daddy. He is totally in his element with Lola and I know baby won't be any different.
Any tips for bringing a baby home with a toddler would be greatly appreciated. I can't help but worry about Lola and making the transition as enjoyable as possible.
